Waitrose Launch
Glassworks has teamed up with MCBD and P for Production  to put together the first wave of the new Waitrose campaign. Graded by Ben Rogers and finished by Aleks Ugarow in Smoke, Delia Smith and Heston Blomenthal are brought together to show two very different spectrums of culinary expertise. This 3 minute 30 second spot filled an entire prime time spot during Coronation Street last night.
Guinness 'Area 22'
Our latest offering for Guinness is another collaboration between Rory Kelleher and Glassworks. Due to the sheer scale of the required environment it was decided early on in the production that the underground rugby training facility should be created entirely in 3D. The Glassworks 3D department lead by the veteran head of 3D Alastair Hearsum built the locations and the training machines, which were inspired by drawings from the amazing Wayne Barlowe. All the live action players were shot in neutral grey amongst a forest of tracking markers. Additional 3D rugby players were added into the mid and backgr ...
Sony Ericsson 'Raining Music'
As night falls over the city, a rain shower begins to threaten the evening for a group of youngsters gathering in the town square. That is until they begin to realise that there's more to this shower than soaked jeans and frizzy hair; as the tagline suggests; 'there's music in the air'. In a growing crescendo of colour and sound, musical notes rain down into the crowd, allowing people to enjoy their music either in an intimate setting, one note at a time, or together with all their friends in a music soaked frenzy.

Glassworks worked closely with Ben and Joe prior to the shoot, helping to whittle down almost 50 ...
Talk Talk 'Brand'
In another close collaboration between Blinkink's Noah Harris and Glassworks creative team, headed by CEO Hector Macleod, we bring you a highly enigmatic and visual piece for Broadband supplier Talk Talk, via CHI & Partners. Closely linked to the existing Talk Talk Press campaign, their world is brought to life through the magic of light.

The spot is a veritable feast of light painting having been shot for real in-camera using an 80 HD camera rig, courtesy of Dayton Taylor, as well as long exposure digital stills and all of this over 5 long nights on location in Jo'burg, South Africa. DP Toby How ...
Royal Mail 'Grow'
'Royal Mail is helping thousands of businesses grow' claims this new spot brought to us by AMV and Knucklehead's Johnny Green. A rich blend of stop-frame animation, live action and CG, portrays materials rising from the ground and assembling together to form an effective production line.

Glassworks's Duncan Horn and the director worked closely together throughout the whole project including shoot attendance. The stop-frame material was worked on from its raw state and compiled to make beautiful 'growing sequences'. These sequences were lovingly composited into the live-action backgrounds.

Mercedes 'Pleasure'
Another in this series of beautifully crafted commercials from Knucklehead's Johnny Green shot for AMV BBDO. This ad follows on from the highly acclaimed and succussful campaign. The imagery exudes sophistication and dynamism. The pacy edit guides us through a world where everyone is trying to get somewhere fast. Mercedes, however, wants to relish the pleasure of the journey.

Duncan Horn worked with Ted from The Quarry to enhance the speed and dynamic elements of the shots, whilst retaining the under-lying subtle beauty of the image.

Once again, Ben Rogers graded the commercial, where the aim was creativ ...
Axa 'Hospital' 'Mechanic' 'Tornado'
Rory Kelleher and Glassworks continue their extremely successful partnership with these beautiful spots for AXA worldwide.

Stunningly shot on location in Spain and Canada the AXA red line acts as a metaphor illustrating the life changing benefits their insurance can offer you.

In each commercial we see the landscape spin 180 degrees to reveal a positive alternate world and ultimately a brighter future. In order to show perspective changing during this transition, Glassworks developed a proprietary technique. This used simultaneous footage from multiple live action cameras, blended and mapped ont ...
Johnnie Walker 'The Man Who Walked Around The World'
BBH bring us this beautifully shot and unusual spot for Johnnie Walker, in which actor Robert Carlyle of Trainspotting fame (amongst others) delivers a 6-minute monologue whilst treading a long path, all the while recounting the history of the brand, whilst passing (with perfect timing) an assortment of props relating to his narrative.

Filmed on location in the Scottish Highlands on 4k Red Cam, the whole piece was lovingly graded by Ben Rogers, before arriving on Glyn's doorstep, where he took care of all Flame work.
