Glassworks worked on a brief from Vince Squibb of Lowe Lintas to create a photorealistic hula-hooping mouse with natural movement and a big personality.
In the commercial a business man visits a newsagent and asks for an Aero bar. The newsagent produces the bar and a mouse who proceeds to entertain them both with his expert hula hoping. "He just comes with it" says the puzzled newsagent. The businessman elects only to take the bar. The rejected mouse dejectedly jumps back behind the counter from where he came.
The photorealistic fur was created using Glassworks own proprietary fur software allowing a look and speed of working unavailable in commercially available software. The animation was achieved at Glassworks using Softimage.
Additional animation was carried out at Passion Pictures under Director Alyson Hamilton, by Russell Brooke, Chris Hague, Tim Watts and Visual FX Director, Chris Knott. Andrew Ruhemann was Executive Producer, assited by Kat Armour Brown. |
