This cinema commercial to raise awareness of gun crime sets out to shock and certainly succeeds in its mission.

The graphic piece, which has been given an 18 certificate was directed by Another Film Company's Steve Reeves for Southwark Council and is to be aired in South London cinemas.

A happy family gather round the dining table at home, the sons chattering away as Mum serves the food. One of the sons comes in and kisses his Mother tenderly on the cheek - a typical family scene. We don't expect what happens next, however, as she reaches above a cupboard and pulls out a gun, which she uses to shoot her youngest son in the back of the head. The tagline reads "If you keep quiet about gun crime, it's like pulling the trigger yourself".

Tareq graded the piece, then Tristian composited the gunshot section and performed a general clean-up.
