Most of us will have suffered in our time at the hands of a traffic warden or two, but this ad from Dom & Nic is about a whole lot more than just picking up a ticket...

A young couple return to their shiny silver car after an evening out. As the man reaches for the door handle a dent suddenly appears, then the roof begins to cave in. Finally the car completely crushes itself in front of their eyes until they are left with just a compact cube of metal.

The voiceover informs us that if you do not pay your car tax, the DVLA have the right to clamp, tow or even pop your vehicle in a crusher. The couple are left dumbfounded, staring at the twisted heap of metal that was meant to be their ride home.

The boys at Glassworks had a big clean-up job to do, as the cars used had been rigged with powerful hydraulics to crush them. Duncan Horn and James Mann, in Flame & CG respectively extended the level of crushing in most shots and the cables & rigs were removed.
