It’s been a good while since the last insight into the lives of our furry consumers, but here they are once again in the Egg Research lab being studied by brainy baldies.
This time, in order to unearth even more information on the Guinea Pigs’ spending habits, the Egg professors construct an undercover agent, a ‘Robopig’. The badly disguised automaton, sporting what looks like a toupee with ears, infiltrates the furry community, getting involved in their busy lifestyles crammed with aerobics classes and trips to the hairdressers. There is an extra bonus in it for our piggy, as he falls for one of his info sources, with whom he water-skis off into the sunset. At the very end, while indulging in his favourite water sport, his wig flies off and by the look on our girl pig’s face, he might just have been rumbled.
Buildings from Paris and Shanghai were used as references so the boys at Glassworks could design and build new ones to show the city’s development since the last commercial. Close-ups of the Guinea Pig metropolis were built from stills on which pigs shot on green screen were composited. The art gallery and lake scenes were shot as scale models and the pigs added. Once all the shots were composited, depth of field was added to create the miniature feel of the environment. |
