Glassworks teamed up with director Jeff Thomas of POP to create the latest promo for Embrace. Jeff filmed a performance video in a theatre. Glassworks then de-constructed the theatre using a combination of 3D and 2D effects. Each wide shot contained over 100 layers of cracks, painted on in photoshop. This was then textured onto the 3D model of the theatre, and composited into each shot. As the song progresses the theatre starts to re-build itself. 3D blocks of rubble and balcony were composited into the scene, along with dust and cracks to create the desired effect. By the final scenes the theatre has been restored to it’s full glory. |
