This beautiful new commercial for the famous frozen food brand was directed by Glassworks 3D artist Jon Park and demonstrates a perfect marriage of 2D and 3D techniques.

The commercial, initially aiming for the Swedish market, depicts an icy world, suspending vegetables and fish so fresh they come to life as the ice begins to melt. As the thaw begins, peas begin to pop out of their pods, corn-on-the-cob reveals itself as its leaves peel themselves away and a big salmon frees itself from its icy confines and swims away.

Three months were spent at Glassworks completing the project, which was essentially a 3D generated spot imported into Flame for the addition of certain elements to give it a 'real' look. CG rendered elements, combined with a camera move created in 3D were pulled into Flame where Ian placed textures into the scene. Mist, water droplets, drips and particles were added to polish the piece and give it a genuine feel.
