The new Lux commercial contains a "paparazzi" sequence that utilizes a unique and original visual effect created by Glassworks and Timetrack especially for this scene. Intending to capture the atmosphere of the celebrity red-carpet photo opportunity, this optical based technique creates a dynamic trail of movement through both space and time, interspersed with frozen moments caught by the photographers flash. Rather than creating this as a series of synchronised multiple passes, the whole effect was achieved  in one pass as an in-camera optical effect.

This look was accomplished using a combination of timeslice photography with multiple strobes creating a "2nd curtain" flash effect for each camera all balanced with an ambient light trail moving though time. Glassworks and Timetrack combined traditional techniques from stills photography and the latest Timeslice technology to create this distinctive look.
