This Music video for The Pigeon Detectives is a one-shot, technique-driven piece that aims to make viewers feel like they are looking at a photo collage of a series of every day events in the life of our pretty heroine. Without trying to involve any narrative, the photos contain the movement from the scenes when the snapshots were taken, keeping the feeling of looking at a real collage of still photos but with connected action.

The Glassworks team ingested 45 hours of HD shot footage sourced from 6 different cameras running simultaneously. While the footage was being put together in Flame to design the collage and animate the camera, our R&D team was developing a XSI plug-in to load the finished Flame scene and turn the tiles into photo models to then have dynamics such as gravity applied to them to achieve a truly random placement of the stacks on the floor. The 3d scene was then carefully shaded and rendered as one 3:30 min long shot. The whole piece was then composited and graded in Flame.
