Edge-of-your-seat action movie excitement is the order of
the day in this "Mission Impossible" style piece for Skoda.
We witness a daredevil leaping off a bridge onto the back
of a moving train, rapidly ducking as it thunders into a tunnel.
We then realise that this seemingly crazed lunatic is a woman
in a business suit, clambering around the side of the vehicle
and throwing herself through the window. It transpires that
the now rather dishevelled woman risked death to get a message
to her commuting boss.
The commercial was shot in two locations, LA and Prague.
Stunts were performed in LA and background plates were shot
in Prague to composite into the moving train shots. The train
was actually shot in a studio using a wind machine to give
the impression of rapid movement. The Glassworks team were
kept very busy: The whole piece was given a cinematic feel
by Tareq in telecine, Ruediger built a 3D train in Softimage
XSI which was used to extend the real carriage that was shot.
Vaclav built the 3D tunnel and Daniel made track furniture
and telegraph poles. 3D rain particles were constructed, then
carefully composited into the live action in Flame.
